The manga and anime of Chainsaw Man have created quite a stir among the fans. The manga is making people go crazy as it has seen the arrival of the War Devil’s older sister, Famine Devil. Moreover, the anime has recently started the Katan Man Arc. Now, the character Denji is shown to have encounters with women in the anime and manga. But who is going to be his love interest? That is the question.
The anime shows that his current goal is to kill the Gun Devil. He would do this to possibly come closer to Makima. However, the manga shows a different run where he decides to reveal his identity as the Chainsaw Man. This would be his plan to possibly get a girlfriend. Moreover, Denji has had some luck in both of them. The fans show their envy for Denji’s encounters.
Who is his girlfriend in Chainsaw Man?
Denji has had several love interests throughout Chainsaw Man. Most of them seemed to have quite a lot of potential. However, his latest love interest combines all the best qualities of previous characters like Power and Makima into one. Moreover, this is a positive sign for Denji. Furthermore, his love life up until this point has been filled with manipulation and tragedy. Besides this, Denji’s new love interest, Asa Mitaka, seems to have ulterior motives for dating him. Moreover, she seems less cold-hearted in her manipulation when compared to his former list of potential romantic partners.
We see in Chapter 112 of Chainsaw Man that Asa approaches him to ask for a date. However, she wants to potentially convert him into a weapon that she could use against Chainsaw Man. All this continues until Chapter 116, when both of them finally begin to notice the goodness in each other. Furthermore, both of them get trapped by Chainsaw Man’s mysteriously revived Eternity Devil. It is during this time that the two of them start to open up a bit more around each other.
Who does he end up with in Chainsaw Man?
Unfortunately, we see that Denji does not end up with anyone. He goes on a date with Asa Mitaka in Chapter 113. Asa asked him in the hope of securing his likeness for her. She had ulterior motives to turn him into a weapon against Chainsaw Man. However, Denji had previously revealed his identity as Chainsaw Man to her, but she never believed it. Rather, she thought he was just joking around.
Now, at this point, considering how Asa has already bored Denji on the date, the chances of them getting together seem bleak. Moreover, she has revealed her aim to get rid of Chainsaw Man as she hopes this would free them from the War Devil Yoru. All these have added to fade away the possibility of their union.
What do we know about His love interests till now in Chainsaw Man?
His first love interest in Chainsaw Man was Makima. However, it was later disclosed in the series that she is the Control Devil. Yet Denji was unable to quit loving her. Moreover, the sole way to her was to chop her up and consume her. However, that was how he could become one with her.
The fans were upset with Makima and failed to forgive her for grooming a 16-year-old boy. The only thing for which she cared for him was his Chainsaw heart. Denji was ready to become her mindless dog. However, the latter wanted nothing to do with him. Rather, she was only interested in the Chainsaw Devil.
Reze is another character who seems to have had feelings for Denji. She was a Bomb Devil hybrid sent from the Soviet Union. The main intention was to steal Chainsaw Man’s heart. Initially, she started acting as if she was developing a likeness towards him by laughing at the jokes he cracked. She had even spent time with him. However, we see that later, she was willing to take up the offer to run away with him, only to get killed by Makima.
Power and Denji do not seem to have a very romantic relationship. Rather, they have an awkward sibling relationship. Denji finds Power attractive. However, it doesn’t take long for the two to butt heads. Despite having bathed together at one point in the series and even shared a bed, Power became the sister he never had.
Conclusion
Denji has many love interest in the series. However, it seems unfortunate that he does not end up with anybody. The manga recently shows that he is to reveal his identity as the Chainsaw Man to possibly get a girlfriend.
