What is the story line of This is Us Season 5 Episode 8?
The series follows the life stories of siblings Kevin, Kate, and Randall. They are the Big Three. The names of their parents are Jack and Rebecca Pearson. It takes place mostly in the present however sometimes takes the audience to the backstory of the family’s past. Kevin and Kate are twins and Randall is the adopted African American son. The three siblings become successful in life however they also experience a lot of problems in their personal lives. We also get to see the marriage life of the siblings with their respective mates.
What happened in season 5 episode 8?
This episode had the storyline of Nasir and Esther Ahmed. Nasir is the inventor of video chat that allows us to chat with our friends and family. His love story with Esther was great and his innovation has helped people to connect with their families and friends during the Covid 19 pandemic. As they got tied with the Pearsons life they also became part of their story. In this episode, the Pearsons meet their new family arrivals through the video call and it was an emotional scene. They were not able to meet in person because of the pandemic.
Randall and Beth on their drive from New Orleans promise Madison that they will stay on the phone with her until Kevin comes from Vancouver. They talk with her as she was experiencing contractions and scary epidural needles. They also share with her some distracting stories of Kevin when he was in High school.
Then Kevin walks to meet Madison after his wild adventure. Then he gets to know what Randall has done so he feels moved. Then he promises Madison that he will not take jobs from now onwards that will take him away from his family. He sees his two beautiful babies Frannie and Nicholas. After that Kevin speaks with Randall on the phone. Even with all the tension between the siblings, Kevin is grateful for all that Randall has done for him. He tells Randall that he is the best person he knows. After the birth of his kids, Kevin feels that it is time to make everything right with his brother.
But we cannot forget another occasion. Kate is also going to have a baby that night. As only one person can be in the room with surrogate mother Ellie, Toby goes out and keeps himself updated through the video calls. Then the Pearson-Damon baby gets born and named Hailey Rose. As Kate holds the baby she says that she has waited all her life to meet her. Although she did not birth her she immediately feels a connection with the baby. We have to wait for the next episode to learn what happens after these events.
