The Chosen is the first television show to use a multi-season structure that is based on the life of Jesus of Nazareth. Since its premiere in 2017, the religious, historical drama has premiered three seasons. Over the years, the series has become the most crowdfunded television or film project in history.
The third season of the show concluded recently with a special two-episode finale. It was released theatrically. Viewers are now eager to know if The Chosen will be returning to screens with a fourth season. Read on to find out.
Will The Chosen Return with Season 4?
Given that the crowdfunding campaign for The Chosen is well underway, Angel Studios is undoubtedly considering returning the show for a fourth season. On Angel Studios’ website, fans can give to the project and track its development in terms of money.
The first three episodes of The Chosen season 4 have already received full funding as of this writing. Currently, 61% of the fourth episode has been funded. $1,841,036 has already been raised toward the project’s $3,000,000 fundraising target. So far, more than 100,000 people have donated.
The fourth season of the show can be funded by fan donations ranging from $15 to $100,000. You may bring your own loaves and fish, but we’ll be bringing ours. We’ll witness God feed the 5,000 together, the producers urged in their donation request.
The Chosen Season 4 Release Date
Not only is this series popular because of its unique concept, but it also stays in the spotlight because of its unique funding style as well. This series does not follow the traditional producer concept, rather, it strives for crowdfunding. Its simple focus is on giving the viewers a free chance to explore the unheard and unseen journey of Jesus and his disciples.
Now that season 3 is currently on television and other online streaming platforms, funding for season 4 will commence soon. Since the first season came out, the producers have expressed their desire to make this series go on for at least five seasons.
We assumed that season 4 would return in late 2023 or early 2024. Only if the makers no gather the funds on time, hopefully, we will get a concrete release date soon. But as for now, we have season 3 to concentrate all our attention on!

Now that’s a tricky question. Since we are still in the midst of a stellar third season, we cannot exactly track down the plot. But we can definitely speculate on what The Chosen season 4 might be about. This astonishing series began with a simple scene of Jesus healing a demon-possessed woman who had lost all hope. It’s really plain and maybe a bit dull, but the message it sends flying our way hits hard: hang onto that single shred of light even if you’re surrounded by pitch darkness and see no way out.
The Series Centers Around the People Who Met and Followed Jesus
The programme depicts the real-life incidents in Jesus’ life and focuses on the numerous individuals who met and adhered to him in first-century Judea and Galilee. In the previous season, Jesus visited his hometown and dispatched his twelve apostles to preach and work miracles in his honour.
Jonathan Roumie plays Jesus in Dallas Jenkins’ television series The Chosen. Shahar Isaac, Elizabeth Tabish, Noah James, Paras Patel, Judas Iscariot, Atticus Aemilius, and George H. Xanthis round out the rest of the cast.
