There’s good news for all! The Central Government has permitted airlines operating in India to provide in-flight Wi-Fi services to passengers with absolutely free of cost in the official notification. The notification stated, “The Pilot-in-Command may permit the access of Internet services by passengers on board an aircraft in flight, through Wi-Fi on board, when a laptop, smartphone, tablet, Smartwatch, e-reader or a point of sale device is used in flight mode or airplane mode,”.
According to the amended aircraft rules published on February 29, passengers can now access Wi-Fi services on several devices including laptops, smartphones, tablets, e-readers, Smartwatch, point-of-sale devices online after getting the approval from the pilot.
