Rapper XXXTentacion, a 20 years old guy, shot dead outside a motorcycle store in Florida in 2018, lost his life. The court convicted three men of his murder on Monday.
After more than seven days of deliberation, a Broward County, Florida jury found Trayvon Newsome, 24, Dedrick Williams, 26, and Michael Boatwright, 28, guilty of first-degree murder and armed robbery. Because of Florida law, they will all receive life sentences for Rapper XXXTentacion death.
Know About the Murder Case
The rapper’s real name was Jahseh Onfroy. And the group robbed him of $50,000 on June 18, 2018, killing him in the process. The group then openly recorded the aftermath, flashing wads of stolen money.
The fourth suspect in the heist, Robert Allen, had testified against the other three defendants and had admitted last year to second-degree murder. However, he had not yet received a sentence.
The Trial
During the trial, the trio’s defense attorneys made outrageous claims. Investigators should have focused on other suspects like the rapper Drake. It’s because of his animosity with XXXTentacion.
Just before 4 p.m., the rapper left Riva Motorsports when an SUV veered in front of his car and blocked him.
Two masked gunmen—one of whom was Boatwright. He approached him in the incidents, according to security footage. And shot him many times.
The men drove off after stealing his Louis Vuitton bag that contained a large amount of cash.
According to Williams, the second shooter, named Newsome, claimed to be driving the SUV. When the murder took place, Allen was in the car.
Text messages from the suspects were among the many devastating pieces of evidence. The prosecution utilized it to convict the three guys.
Boatwright texted someone shortly after killing the rapper, stating, “Tell my brother I got the cash for the new phone”. And sending a screenshot of a news article claiming that someone shot XXXTentacion. Additionally, the jurors saw a search Boatwright had conducted for “accessory to murder.”
Boatwright admitted to using the stolen money to take pictures, but his attorney claimed that Boatwright was not the murderer.
Allen told the jury that the assassination of the budding rapper was not a long-planned system. Rather the four guys had gone out that day intending to commit a theft.
At the same time, they were on their way to the motorcycle shop so that Williams could get a mask. Allen, who described Williams as the pack leader, claimed that the group had resolved to steal XXXTentacion.

Rapper XXXTentacion was a rising sensation well-known for his songs about loneliness and sadness. At the time of his passing, he was mired in controversy and had a long list of offenses against him, including accusations of abusing and hitting his girlfriend.
