A reconstruction suggests that Goldman might have arrived in the middle of the attack interrupting the killer’s and thereby prompting his murder. The attacker might have first jabbed Brown a few times making her fall then landed an attack on Goldman, killed him and then returned to kill the lady.
Looking at the severity of the wounds and that Goldman was still holding his glasses in his hand suggested that the attack had lasted not more than five minutes.
