A Brief Bio And Career
Born Marie Jana Korbelová, Albright breathed her first in 1937. She was born to her parents in Prague, Czechoslovakia. Nothing much is known about her family. We only know that her family migrated to Prague as refugees in 1948.
As far as her education is concerned, she holds a Doctor of Philosophy, which she acquired back in 1975. Before that, she earned her graduate degree from Williams College and completed her Masters from Columbia University in International affairs. In addition to all these, she also holds a graduate degree in Law from Georgetown University Law Center. However, she served at the Montgomery County court as a judge back in 2011.
In her career, she worked in various capacities for the education boards. She served as the National Security Council’s congressional liaison, in the West Wing back in 1978. She also went on to become the Ambassador of the UN. After Warren Christopher retired as the secretary of state, Bill Clinton opted for Albright. Therefore, she created history by becoming the first woman to hold such a position in US politics.
As far as her personal life is concerned, in 1959 she married Joseph Medill Patterson Albright. After living together for around 23 years, she parted ways with him in 1982.
Albright’s Children
Albright and Joseph welcomed three children from their marriage. Her twin daughters, Anne Korbel Albright and Alice Patterson Albright breathed their first in 1961. Her third daughter Katherine Medill Albright was born in 1966. However, we do not know anything about the whereabouts of her children as of now.
