The American citizen, Bryce Laspisa, was born on April 30, 1994, in Springfield, Illinois. On August 30, 2013, while en route to his parent’s home, Bryce suddenly disappeared. He hasn’t been found since. Where’s the young guy gone? Let’s read further and know about the details of his life and tragedy!
Early Life and Education of Bryce Laspisa
Bryce was raised as an only child in Springfield by his parents, Michael Laspisa and Karen. They had already reached old age when they had Bryce, and they retired around the time Bryce finished high school. He was always interested in art, especially painting and photography, and he also had a lot of friends in both his elementary school and later at Naperville High School. He also grew up to be a very sociable person.
After graduating from high school in 2012, Bryce’s family relocated to Laguna Niguel in Orange County, California. He later moved away from his parents to Chico, California, where he enrolled in Sierra College to study graphic and industrial design, but only finished the first two semesters before going missing.
Know About Bryce’s Sudden Disappearance
The journey to his parent’s house was planned to take Bryce three hours, so he got in his car very early on the morning of August 29, 2013, and he began driving. His mother last spoke to him at two in the morning on August 30th, when he told her he had to pull over in the Sierra Pelona Mountains next to Interstate 5.
Police knocked on Michael and Karen’s doors later that day to inform them that Bryce’s car had been found damaged nearby Castaic Lake. The youngster disappeared without a trace, and his whereabouts are still a mystery.
What Led To Bryce Laspisa Disappearance?
According to Bryce’s parents, he started acting differently before going missing. They started to see a change in him that made them think he was depressed as he became less outgoing, reclusive, and erratic. At one time, Bryce revealed to his roommate Sean Dixon and his girlfriend Kim Sly that he was taking the medication Vyvanse, which is typically used to treat ADHD—a condition that Bryce did not have—and which is known to have a number of unfavorable side effects, such as depression and mania.
Every weekend, Bryce would get incredibly drunk due to his alcohol addiction. Bryce texted his girlfriend three days before his disappearance to break things off, saying she would be better off without him.
He also texted his roommate Sean to say: “I love you bro, seriously.” I’ve never met anyone like you, so thank you. Then Bryce gave Sean his Xbox, along with a pricey pair of diamond earrings that he owned.
On August 28, Bryce’s parents were notified by Sean that he was concerned about him, and later that day, Bryce visited Kim to discuss their breakup. Kim was obviously concerned about Bryce and as a result, she took the keys to his Toyota Highlander.
Karen persuaded Kim to give Bryce his keys back so that he could go home and sleep after Bryce called his mother to tell her about the argument he was having with Kim. Karen even suggested visiting Bryce and spending a few hours with him, but Bryce refused.
Bryce Laspisa’s Last Call With His Mother
Just a few hours later, with Bryce’s disappearance still a little more than a day away, he called his mother and said he had a lot to discuss with her. Around midnight, he began traveling in the route of his mother’s house, and the police determined that at one in the morning when he called his mother on her cellphone, he was one hour’s drive south of Rocklin.
In a message to Bryce’s parents, a man by the name of Christian explained that Bryce had arrived at his Castro Tire and Gas station on foot at around 11 a.m. and that he had requested three gallons of fuel from him after claiming to be out of fuel.
When Christian went to see if Bryce was still there where his car had stopped, it was already 3 p.m. and he found that he hadn’t moved from the spot in several hours.
A few hours later, Michael and Karen called the police, who checked the road for Bryce and found him just a few miles from where Christian had found him. According to the two police officers who spoke to Bryce, he was friendly and neither drunk nor high when they spoke to him.
The last time anyone heard from Bryce was when he spoke to his mother at two in the morning on August 30.

There are many opinions about what happened to Bryce Laspisa, but only two stand out: some think he killed himself, while others say he chose to disappear and has begun a new life under a different name.
