American Twitch sensation IShowSpeed recently found himself in the heart of a shocking prank while live-streaming from the bustling streets of Brazil. What began as an ordinary broadcast quickly escalated into a distressing situation, leaving the 18-year-old streamer visibly shaken and in tears.
During his exploratory live stream in a foreign land, IShowSpeed, accompanied by his content creator companion Arab, was suddenly ambushed by a group of local individuals masquerading as a gang. The situation took a frightening turn as these masked figures, wielding menacing weapons such as bats and wooden planks, encroached upon IShowSpeed.
The young streamer, visibly distressed and on the brink of tears, found himself cornered against a wall while the mobsters surrounded him. In a harrowing moment, one of the gang members compelled IShowSpeed to sit down, further escalating the tension. Speed, overwhelmed by fear, pleaded for clemency from the intimidating gang.
The Unveiling of the Prank
However, the tense and distressing moment abruptly subsided when Arab, his fellow streamer, stepped forward to reveal the truth: it was all a meticulously planned prank. As reality sank in that he wasn’t in actual danger, IShowSpeed, still reeling from the fear, implored Arab never to orchestrate such a terrifying prank again. His genuine terror was evident as he confessed, “Oh my God, I thought I’d die.”
Arab, known for live streaming from high-risk locations worldwide, disclosed to Dexerto that his original plan for the prank involved the use of real firearms. However, considering the potential ramifications of the platform’s guidelines, the idea was revised. “Because it was a YouTube and not a Kick stream, they would have allowed that; we told them to do it with no weapons, just baseball bats and stuff,” Arab explained.
Despite the distress caused by the nefarious stunt, Arab anticipates forgiveness from IShowSpeed, citing the anticipated viral traction as a possible bridge to reconciliation. Expressing his perspective on the local individuals involved in the prank, Arab remarked, “As for the gang members, I believe it’s a sign that when you come in and show respect and you approve, these people can be humane.”
Raising Awareness and Caution
In light of this alarming incident, Arab voiced a nuanced view, acknowledging the potential for violence in lawless areas while advocating for a broader understanding. “Don’t get me wrong, these guys can do bad things, it’s part of being somewhere lawless, but people need to stop being afraid of these places,” he emphasized.
