Hugh Grant gets a naked Oompa Loompa Image. The image was sent by the director of ‘Wonka’. He says that he is trying hard to get that out of his head. The actor portrays an Oompa Loompa in the recently released film. He spoke about the disturbing image he received in his inbox from filmmaker Paul King.
He said that the early rendering of the clothless character was sent to amuse him. The actor’s children had glimpsed at the image and were shocked. King also spoke about the incident. He said that the visual effects team for the movie were still working. They are constantly figuring out the colour of the skin, the way the hair works, and all the kinds of details of it. It was at that point the Oompa Loompa had no clothes. This image was sent and led to the talk.
King said with a laugh,
“It was one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever seen in my life.”
With humour, he added,
“If it ever leaks out, a generation of children will be scarred.”
There was no actual nudity. The character was delicately pixelated. There was nothing that could be coined untoward. It was just that it had an effect on the mind. Once anybody has glimpsed it, there is no way back. One can never unsee it.
Grant was previously seen in 2017’s Paddington 2. It was also directed by King. He agreed to take the role opposite Timothée Chalamet’s Willy Wonka. He said that he did it because he was in the freak phase of his career. It was sort of circus freaks. He was then playing “weirder and weirder” characters. His new character of Oompa Loompa started with a shocker.
