IQ Test format
One question after another, for as long as you need to continue answering correctly. Usually multiple choice. Answer each question before moving on to the next one. But if eight minutes have elapsed since the last time I asked this question, don’t answer it again unless you want to and you know there’s no penalty for getting it wrong twice.
IQ Test Scoring method
If enough people take the test, everyone will get an IQ between 100 and 200 (or higher). The mean is always 100 and the standard deviation is always 15 points. Two-thirds of all examinees answer about as many questions correctly as they get incorrect. The remaining third either do much better or much worse, but if you do much better than the median score (which is always 100) then I can assume that you cheated because no one’s perfect; and if you do much worse than the median score (which is always 100), then I can assume that my test doesn’t measure intelligence very well.
Administration
No talking, thinking, writing, or moving is allowed on this part of the exam. If there are any puzzles with pieces missing and/or colorful objects to be matched up by shape or number or anything like that on this portion of the exam, don’t bother doing it unless your answer matches mine exactly for each question.
And even then I can’t say for sure if you solved it correctly. If there are any questions on the test that involve drawing a picture, all of your drawings will be graded by hand, and only mine will count.
Materials
This part of the exam requires absolutely nothing beyond what you’ve got in your head right now so don’t bother ripping up anything or taking up extra space with things like paper and pencils. There’s no time limit but if you finish before I’m done grading then feel free to leave whenever you want.
Testing Environment In Most IQ Tests
All tests are administered by me personally and taken one-on-one, either in my office at 4,000 feet above sea level on a clear day with no wind or else in a dimly lit basement with a few incense burners and the ticking of an old grandfather clock for ambiance. All questions are written right on the palm of my hand, which I’m more than willing to share with you if it’ll make things easier.
Data analysis
