The internet may be a strange world at times. The location of Joe Biden’s memorable bike mishap in Delaware — colloquially known as “Brandon Falls” — was discovered using Google Maps.
Google Maps has designated the collision site as a historical landmark, and Twitter users have already uploaded screenshots indicating the exact location of the incident.
On Google Maps, the location known as “Brandon Falls” now has its own pin
Other Twitter users began tweeting screenshots of historical markers with the name “Brandon Falls” put at the area where Biden fell a month after his fall. The name is a play on the famous “Let’s Go Brandon” statement made by an NBC reporter during an interview with NASCAR driver Brandon Brown in response to a fan cry that was misheard.
The Twitter community has recognised the individual who first revealed the location on the map-sharing app. The account’s creator, @oldrowviral, is a content developer who promotes conservative memes.
The account has also recently advocated the use of the phrase “Bidening,” which they define as the practice of intentionally falling off a bicycle, photographing or videotaping the incident, and then sharing the results online.
On Google Maps, there is no longer a landmark
Google appears to have removed the area from its maps in response to the social media outrage. Google Maps has a function that allows users to create their own landmarks for others to see. Some people found it amusing that “Brandon Falls” appeared on Google Maps. “This is precisely why we created the internet.” According to one user, Brandon Falls, the area where Joe Biden was injured in a bicycling accident, is now a searchable location on Google Maps.
Those who shared the Google Maps screenshot also mentioned that “Brandon Falls (Biden’s bike fall) is now a historic location on Google Maps.” I believed everyone should be aware of the question, “Does it work for you?”
Biden crashed his motorcycle after losing control
In Delaware, the President and First Lady celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. When Biden attempted to stop the bike to welcome the journalists, his foot became trapped.
The video of him sliding rapidly became viral as well. When Biden attempted to remove his biking shoes, he slipped and collapsed.
Others close to him instantly questioned whether he was okay after seeing the incident; he told them, “I’m OK.”
Brandon Falls: Twitter Reacts
Twitter went nuts when “Brandon Falls” first came out. Continue reading for the most recent news and information from around the world. Google had removed the pin by Tuesday night, but many online resources still featured information about the topic. A “Brandon Falls Memorial” marker on a map revealed that it was some distance from the actual accident site.
Where did the name Brandon first appear on the map?
After NBC reporter Kelli Stavast told NASCAR driver Brandon Brown that people were yelling “let’s go Brandon” at him during an interview in 2021, the phrase “let’s go Brandon” went viral. The crowd appeared to be chanting “f*** Joe Biden,” but neither Stavast nor Brown could understand what they were saying.
When the interview video went viral, conservatives quickly adopted the phrase as shorthand for “f*** Joe Biden.” Later, a TikTok song titled “Let’s Go Brandon” went viral, solidifying the codename’s place in pop culture.
