However, later we see it is television news that arrests her attention. Thus, she will make a pilgrimage to New York and around the globe to follow her own blind ambition. Indeed, she will find fame and success. However, almost nothing will heal the loneliness. In fact, in the glamour of fame and success , she will rediscover the mysterious human condition – man is enisled across the sea of life.
From the beginning, Kate knows her life will be nothing special. In fact, all she really wants is to sail on with an ordinary life. She wants to fall in love, explore the labyrinths of the act of loving, have children, and walk along the lane of an ordinary life. However, what she does not know is how being a wife and mother will compel her to depart from herself. She doesn’t know how adapting to the new roles will change her, make her lose sight of who she once was. She will be an unaccommodated woman. Again, existential. A misfit. She will cultivate envy from her new life. Her famous best friend will start to haunt her.
