The optimum times to post on Facebook are not simple to determine, as is the case with most things in life. There are numerous of research going on the subject, and they all produce diverse findings.
From an analysis of their clients’ Facebook postings, Sprout Social was able to draw some broad conclusions. They used the Central Time Zone to express all of their times (CST).
Here’s a brief about Facebook posting time
- The two optimum posting times are on Wednesday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
- Wednesday is generally the finest day.
- Weekdays from 9 am to 3 pm will see the most steady participation.
- The worst day is Sunday since it has the lowest level of participation.
- Early mornings and evenings before 7 am and after 5 pm each day will have the lowest engagement.
During the middle of the week, from mid-morning to mid-afternoon, people are more likely to see your Facebook postings. Many people probably check their Facebook apps dring their morning, lunch, and afternoon tea breaks. Unexpectedly, fewer people attempt to check Facebook on the weekends or evenings while they are at home.
People use Facebook in various ways
CoSchedule adopted a little different strategy. Researchers analyzed 25 studies to find trends regarding the ideal Facebook posting times for different companies. In the section following, we draw on some of that research. According to the business, they discovered considerable variances in Facebook usage.
However, they did draw some broad conclusions from the polls, many of which agreed with SproutSocial’s findings.
- On weekdays, Hootsuite advises posting between noon and 3 pm.
- Hubspot says usually speaking, between 1 pm to 4 pm, is better.
- Similarly, Falcon.io claimed that most engagement happens between midday and four o’clock.
- Unmetric moves things up to between 9 and 2 o’clock.
- TrackMaven disagrees, claiming that Thursdays at 8 p.m. is the ideal time.
Best Times by Sector Recommendations
Their Facebook posting hours broke down by industry in research. The best hours depend on the sector in which your company works. Reports from CoSchedule and Sprout Social both show how various business types experience various social peak hours. In this research, the times of the day are generally given more attention than the days of the week.
Media brands
CoSchedule study revealed several subtle differences between media brands and the rest of the field. Interestingly, the most popular times for their Facebook posts were 7 am, 11 am, and 6 pm.
Education brand
Even though students stay up late, it doesn’t seem like they use Facebook during that time. CoSchedule reports that higher education companies have the greatest reach before classes. Higher education is busiest between 8 a.m., noon, and 3 p.m.
Sprout Social considers education as its whole. Facebook postings were highest on Wednesday at 9 a.m. and Saturday at 5 p.m. During weekday school hours, people are most likely to interact on Facebook. But Saturdays between noon and nine o’clock also produce acceptable outcomes.
