As the title itself gives a hint of what the show is about to be, there isn’t much to be said about it. Yes, it is not for the faint-hearted, so if you are courageous enough you can go ahead and watch it.
The Animal Kingdom star, Emily Deschanel is back with a cult-themed thriller on Netflix. Currently, it has become one of the most-watched web series due to its eerie content.
Well, the opening scene itself will send chills down your spine. So are you ready to watch the horror series with a bucket of popcorn in your hand? If you are feeling afraid, you can also call in some of your friends and have a movie night together.
So without further ado let us now get back to our topic of discussion. In today’s article, we shall share with you a short review of the cult-themed series “Devil In Ohio.” Let’s take a quick glance!
What Happens in The Series Devil In Ohio?
The scene opens with a large house late at night just as is typical for a horror movie. However, what is unsettling is that there is a lot of noise including a struggle and screaming. After that, we find a teenage girl running from the house in a white nightgown with someone chasing behind her.
Now let us give you a gist of the story which might also contain a few minor spoilers. Dr. Suzanne Mathis who is actually Emily Deschanel is a psychiatrist at a hospital in Remmingham, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland.
As per the sources, she and her family lead busy lives, and when Suzzane is called in early one morning to see an unidentified patient who isn’t talking, she has to dash out in the morning.
Well, her real estate flipper husband Peter, blazer-wearing oldest daughter Helen, and moody middle daughter Jules seem to be used to it. However, her youngest daughter Dani gets upset. She says sadly and annoyingly, “Why is mom always working?”
As a reply her younger sister says, “Because, she tries to save everyone.” On the other hand, the patient (a teen girl) ran out of the hospital. Seeing this, Dr. Suzzane gives her shelter until she can provide her with a new home. We come to know that the little girl has been through lots of abuse.
Amidst this, lots of other complexities take place, finally, we find that Suzzane’s character undergoes a transformation and her flaws in her ‘perfect’ personality start to show up.

So if you have already subscribed to Netflix, you can watch it immediately or you can download the episodes from pirated sites.
Did The Audience Like The Show?
Needless to say, for many people, cults have been an endless form of fascination. This has naturally created a revolution in the entertainment world in the past couple of years by bringing a fresh breath of air.
After the huge response to this show, it seems that the audiences have been eating this kind of content up. It is either through listening to their daily podcast or turning on the television that they have been enjoying this type of content.
Some of the viewers say that this interest stems from the fact that it is very relatable to everyday life, hence many people’s obsession is with true crime as a genre.
This Netflix show might be adapted from a novel, but definitely feels like something relevant to the world today. At the same time, this cast seems limited with their experience in thrillers but offers a fresh addition to the genre with their performances.
