Blink-182 pleasantly surprised their fans by releasing two bonus songs, ‘See You’ and ‘Cut Me Off,’ as part of the digital-only version of their latest album ‘One More Time…’. These additional tracks are exclusively available through the band’s website, expanding the album’s tracklist to a total of 19 songs.
The album, ‘One More Time…,’ was released on October 20, marking a significant moment for fans as it featured the classic line-up of Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker, and Tom DeLonge, reuniting for a full-length project for the first time since 2011’s ‘Neighborhoods.’
Drummer Travis Barker had teased the possibility of more material earlier in the week, suggesting, “Wouldn’t it be cool if the album had 2 more songs?” This led to speculations about a deluxe edition. However, the band opted for a digital-only version with the addition of ‘See You’ and ‘Cut Me Off.’ Travis Barker took on the role of sole producer for the album, which includes singles like ‘Edging,’ ‘More Than You Know,’ ‘Dance With Me,’ ‘Fell In Love,’ and ‘You Don’t Know What You’ve Got.’
NME’s Emma Wilkes, in her three-star review of ‘One More Time…,’ acknowledged that Blink-182 hasn’t strayed far from their classic sound, still embodying the essence of three friends making noise and having a riot. While they may not be revolutionizing pop-punk, their return to form was well-received by fans, who simply wanted the old Blink-182 back, and in 2023, the band remains as fun as ever.
In addition to the album release, Blink-182 also announced a North American headline tour for 2024, marking their continued return to the music scene. After a series of comeback shows in the US, Canada, Europe, and the UK this year, the band is set to perform rescheduled concerts in Glasgow, Belfast, and Dublin next summer.
