Fairness has been realised! Kaalan Walker, the star of ‘Superfly,’ was found guilty of multiple counts of rape. He is sentenced to 50 years to life in prison. For the same reason , three young women and girls initially brought forward the charges. However, Kaalan has been out on bail since 2018. Please continue reading to learn more about this situation.
Enticing with empty threats is a common practice
Kaalan Walker, a disgraced actor and rapper, was sentenced to 50 years to life in prison on Monday (October 17). Superior Court Judge Joseph Brandolino ordered Kaalan Walker to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
Kaalan was charged by three teenage girls and four women, and he was found guilty. According to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office, Walker was charged with “three counts of forcible rape. Evidently, two counts of statutory rape and two counts of rape by intoxication”. As the verdict was read, Deputy District Attorney Cynthia Wallace stated that the actor is “truly a predator.”
In fact Kaalan’s victims all shared certain characteristics. He’d message struggling models he saw on Instagram and Facebook, offering to help them advance in their careers. They’d follow him to phoney music video shoots and celebrity meet-and-greets. Kaalan would then rape his victims as a next step.
In April, Kaalan was charged
Kaalan Walker was crying in April as the jury read its guilty verdict in court. In addition, among the nine felony sexual assault charges brought against the “Firefly” actor in 2018 were five counts of forcible rape. Three counts of sexual penetration with foreign objects, and one count of forcible oral copulation.
Between 2013 and 2018, prosecutors charged Kaalan with multiple “sophisticated” attacks on women and children. Almost 30 women have come forward to accuse the Empire Records newcomer of sexual assault. That is, in April, a court found Kaalan guilty of assaulting five people. Four of whom were women and three of whom were minors, all of whom were 16-year-old aspiring models.
He was charged with crimes including forcible assault against three of the victims. But he was ultimately found not guilty of all charges. “I didn’t rape anybody, your honour,” a distraught Walker exclaimed after a Los Angeles jury returned a hung verdict. On the other hand, the prosecution described him as a “serial rapist”. He preyed on young, aspiring models by using Drake’s name as a hook.
Here Is What Walker’s Attorney Had To Say
Indeed Walker’s attorney stated that “they were seeking revenge against his client for the false promises he made of music shoots. Moreover, opportunities to meet his famous and well-connected friends,” and that Kaalan did not force the women and girls to participate in the shoots. Besides that, Kaalan’s attorney, Andrew Flier, stated that his client’s career is over and that the conviction has turned his life into a “living nightmare.”
Nevertheless, the judge’s decision on Monday will sentence Kaalan to life in prison for his crimes. Despite the judge’s inability to restore the victims’ lost years. He has ensured that the rapper Kaalan receives the harshest possible punishment for his heinous crimes.
