What is a Margarita?
Before we discuss the notorious recipe, let’s clarify the basics of the drink, that is “what signifies margarita?”. Let us tell you, this is a mocktail and it’s a combination of lime juice, tequila, and orange liqueur. The concoction is then served in a glass with salt on the rim.
Moreover, the drink has rushed ice (on the rocks) on it. While the iced margarita goes by margarita on the rocks, the one without ice goes by margarita straight up. Moreover, if the ice is blended and put in the mixture, it will go by like a frozen margarita.

How to Make Margarita?
Now that we have discussed what a margarita is, let’s discuss the margarita recipe. IBA has approved this recipe.
Ingredients
- 5 cL or 10 parts of tequila
- 2 cL or 4 parts of triple sec
- 1.5 cL or 3 parts of lime juice
Method
You have to first prepare the glass. Now, take a wedge of lime and rub it exactly on the rim of the glass. Put the glass upside down on a bowl of salt so that it sticks to it. Now, take a shaker. Following, you have to put ice into it and put tequila, triple sec and like juice in the exact amount. Now you have to shake it well. Before putting it into the glass, you have to strain it.
Ending note
You can also make the modern version of margarita mix. It includes 1-part white tequila, half Cointreau, and half part freshly squeezed lime juice. Put all the ingredients into the shaker along with ice. Now shake it well and sieve it before serving. You can mix and match using flavored tequila as well. However, the ratio of the ingredients, 10:4:3 will remain the same.
