Her sister, Nazanine Moshiri, also a journalist, served as a foreign correspondent at Al Jazeera. Maryam Moshiri, who attended the prestigious University College London in 2000, holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from the London College of Communications.
Following Yalda Hakim’s departure from the BBC in 2023, Moshiri earned her promotion, taking on the role of chief presenter. Her new program, “The World Today,” is set to debut on the BBC’s news channel in January 2024, showcasing her continued contributions to the media landscape.
