This unique partnership unfolds in a capsule collection that showcases Arsham’s deep affection for his Porsche 930 Turbo and brings his artistic vision to the miniature world of Hot Wheels.
Nostalgia and boundless imagination took center stage during the exclusive Hot Wheels x Daniel Arsham event, hosted by Mattel Creations. This exclusive gathering occurred at 45 Grand St., situated in the heart of Soho, within a creatively reimagined welding shop turned event space. The event provided an intimate glimpse into the dynamic collaboration between the visionary artist and the iconic toy brand.
A select group of VIP guests, which included the artist himself, his close collaborator and friend Greg Anagnostopoulos, and social media influencer Lil Jupiter, began to assemble in the immersive space. The ambience was elevated by the beats of DJ Sebastian Maria, who skillfully set the tone for an evening filled with meaningful discussions and well-deserved celebrations. The venue was adorned with models, mockups, and sketches from the new collection, and a colossal Hot Wheels racetrack took centre stage, boasting the signature Arsham green hue. Here, attendees had the thrilling opportunity to race custom Rodger Dodger, Twin Mill, and Deora II Hot Wheels models through three exhilarating loops. In addition, a miniature Hot Wheels museum paid homage to the original series of die-cast model cars known as “The Sweet 16.”
