Business Ideas for UTE

If you’re a UTE driver, you know how many possibilities this vehicle has. It doesn’t matter what type, brand, or company it is made by; all UTEs are specific types of vehicles that can take so much. They are powerful and so valuable. In times of a world pandemic, millions of people across the globe lost their jobs. If you’re one of them, you’re probably thinking about your options. Some options might not work out because you’re specifically trained, but you already have a valuable asset if you own a UTE.

The UTE itself can help you land a great job. You don’t even have to work for someone else. You can start your own business by simply driving the vehicle. That’s what we’re talking about in this article. Read on if you want to see some ideas and possibly get out of the crisis by using them.

1. Transporting pets

If you own a UTE, you have a wide rear tray easily transformed into a dog kennel. There are 6.3 million dogs in Australia and 29 million pets in total. Pet owners love taking them to grooming, daycare centers, pet hotels, etc. Often, they don’t have cars, so they rend specialized taxi services where pets are allowed.

Creating a perfect dog kennel in the back and offering your transportation services can generate fantastic revenue. If you know how to work with people and love animals, this job is certainly for you. No boss is hanging on top of you, and you can be as successful as you provide excellent service.

2. Transporting people who have oversized luggage

Many people need a taxi service, commute service to work, or a shuttle to the airport. All these people often have oversized luggage, and they have nowhere to put it when they want to get to their destination. The ordinary Uber or Lyft won’t provide the service, and this is where you come into play.

Your oversized luggage space in the back can provide the storage room that these people require. Install a toolbox or a canopy and make enough storage room for people to place their bags and other belongings in the back and sit in the cabin. It may be an unusual taxi ride, but it’s still practical.

3. Working as a contractor

There’s no better vehicle than the UTE when working as a contractor. Anything will fit in the back of your car. Choose one of the many UTE canopies and ensure that you’re carrying everything you need. That little investment in a canopy and tools are enough to start working as a handyman or a contractor.

Aside from the UTE, you’ll need to learn a skill too. Most people are experienced in something, so find what you’re best in, and don’t be afraid to start providing services.

4. Working as a removalist

When people move from one place to another, they often look for big trucks to fit entire houses inside. However, the modern way of life means moving with a lot less than that. If you have the toolbox in the back, you can offer your services as a removalist for people with fewer belongings.

These people will still need to pay for a van or a truck, which is too expensive, but you can offer your services for less and still get the job done for them. You get a new client, and they’ll move from one home to another without having to pay a fortune. This way, everyone wins.

5. Renting your vehicle to those who need it

One final idea that some will surely find interesting is owning a vehicle like this, having it in top condition, and only renting it to people who need this kind of vehicle for a couple of days. In Australia, many people love driving in nature and enjoying sightseeing, but not many own the right type of vehicle.

Your UTE is made for the occasion. If someone needs it, you can rent it for their pleasure. You literally do nothing, just sit home and enjoy yourself, while others drive it around. When they get it back, your only job is to wash it off, check it for eventual flaws, and offer it again to others.

Conclusion

Don’t spend time agonizing that there’s no work. There are always opportunities, and you need to take one when you see it. Owning a UTE is a great opportunity to start your own business and offer transportation services.

As you can see above, some of the ideas are interesting, and others might not fit your profile. It all depends on how skilled you are for particular tasks. Choose what works best for you, get your UTE in perfect shape, make some small investments, and you’re ready to start earning.
